WIN THIS CAR HERE!
ABSOLUTELY FREE!

I bought this car in haste in February 2006 from a person who wasn't perfectly forward about all of its shortcomings. You can find a description of all of its troubles below. I think if you put $400 into this car it would be fine, and it's certainly drivable now. Sometimes you have to spray starter fluid into the air intake to get it to start, otherwise it starts and drives a-ok. I drove it back and forth to work for 3 months without a problem. I toyed with the idea of making it a community car (gluing keys into locks, etc), but I figure it might do somebody a service who needs a car, rather than have it impounded for eternity. I currently have another car that I like very much. I paid $2100 for this car and rather than get $500 for selling it, I can get some sort of entertainment by giving it away.

So, the person that comes up with the best answers to the provided questions will get this car for free. You also get all of the manuals & I'll also throw in a cassette/stereo (which you'll have to have installed) You'll have to pay for the title & licensing, of course. Otherwise it's YOURS! Please keep in mind that all answers will be CONFIDENTIAL. Please send all answers to derekerdmanATyahoo.com (change AT to @, YES). It would be best if you copied and pasted the questions and type in the area below. Otherwise do what you have to do to win. The deadline for entry is 12:01am on Monday, June 26th 2006. The winner will be announced on June 27th. You have to be over 16 and have a valid driver's license to enter. Thanks a good luck!

This is is good car, but it has some flaws.
If you're willing to take care of it I
think it will last you another 100k miles.

The body of this car is in great shape.
As you can see there are two hub-
cap covers missing, and plastic missing
from one front and one rear light. The bulbs
work fine. The tires are newer and still
under warranty. The undercarriage looks
good.

With the back seat folded down, the bed
of this car is HUGE. You can fit all sorts
of stuff in it. It also has a driver's side
air bag. The interior is leather, it has a
sun roof and power windows & locks.
It also has a dog fence that folds down
if you have a dog and would want to keep
it in the back area. No leaks & has working
A/C that needs to have a hose hooked up.

There isn't a radio. It was stolen and the
last owner didn't replace it, and neither
did I. Also, I find that it doesn't start after
driving it long distances. If I wait 6 hours
it'll start again, or if I use starter fluid it
starts right up. I have to imagine that it's
a minor problem as it does start 75% of
the time and runs GREAT once started.
Also, very seldom and randomly the car
will shift into 3rd gear on the higway. It
usually goes back into 4th after a short
time. I was told by a mechanic that this
was a vacuum seal problem. There is a
trick with the driver side door lock, when
unlocked it sometimes locks when opened -
it seems like a short. It's easier to explain
in person. The back latch can't be locked
with a key.
Otherwise A-OK!

I bought this car after my 1984 Volvo 240
caught fire. I decided that I didn't like the
shape of the 740 - I prefer the boxy 240.
Now I have two cars and have decided to
sell this one. It's a decent car and if you
can deal with it's quirks you'll be fine.

This car is located in Bucktown, just northwest of downtown Chicago.

Includes Chiltons manual, owner's manual,
dealer books, receipts from repairs, Pep
Boys inspection (11/29/2005) sheet.
